Savage Hostel Koh Tao

Sairee’s roughly 1.8 km stretch of white sand is lined with dive schools, restaurants and beach bars, and faces west towards sunset views of Koh Nang Yuan. Haad Sairee is 250 m away and Ao Hat Sai Ri is 350 m away, with cafés and dining venues along the beach road.

Koh Tao has no airport, so arrivals are by boat at Mae Haad on the west coast. Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 1.3 km from the hostel. Mae Haad and Sairee connect by a flat brick path beside the shore, taking about 15 minutes on foot; local pick-up truck taxis also serve the island. Free public parking is possible on site without a reservation. Mae Haad has banks, pharmacies and other main services before you continue north to Sairee.

King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) is 500 m away, while View point on Sairee beach and Koh Nang Yuan is 1.3 km away and Pagoda is 900 m away. Nangyuan Island is 3.3 km away; the three islets joined by sandbars can be reached by long-tail boat from Sairee or Mae Haad. Snorkelling and diving are major island activities, with sites including Japanese Gardens and Chumphon Pinnacle. Sairee and other west- and south-coast beaches are generally calmer from November to March; February to April is typically the driest, calmest period.
